Make a wave of a difference by joining Georgia Aquarium to celebrate World Oceans Day on June 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event promotes conserving and protecting our oceans by enlightening guests on how the ocean affects us daily. Participate in various events throughout the day including educational and engaging games, shows and activities. Learn more about the majestic body of water that unites us all, and how you can make a difference.
The Georgia Aquarium, in conjunction with several organizations, brings you a day full of ocean-oriented activities and environmental friendly ways to make a difference, free with general admission. Partnering with Dr. Seuss, guests will see the presentation “Small Fish can make a Whale of a Difference.” Guests can even plant a flower to take home with Southwest Airlines! At the Home Depot table, children can build their own sailboat or picture frame. Not only will guests learn about oceanic conservation, but they will also have the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, giveaways and view a special guest appearance by Buddy the Dinosaur from PBS’s Dinosaur Train.
