Staying Warm Inside and Out in December 2012

Forget shaken — this month, we’re all about being stirred.

ABSOLUT Vanilia Celebration
2 dashes orange bitters

Add ABSOLUT Vanilia and orange bitters into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with champagne.

Tennessee Hot Chocolate
3 cups milk
3/4 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup bourbon

Combine milk and half-and-half in a medium saucepan; cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated (do not boil). Add sugar and cocoa, whisking until blended. Remove from heat; whisk in vanilla and bourbon. Pour into mugs; top with marshmallows, if desired.

Old Nick Martini
4 parts Rye Whiskey
2 parts Whisky/honey liqueur (Drambuie)
1 part orange juice
1 part lemon juice
2 dashes orange bitters
1 whole Maraschino berry

Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino berry.

Reindeer Tracks Martini
1 ounce Three Olives Cake Vodka
1 ounce Three Olives Chocolate Vodka (Can use all Chocolate if desired)
1 ounce hazelnut liqueur
1/2 ounce creme de cacao
Splash Cream
2 chocolate cookie wafers (or Oreos)

Rim a martini glass with crushed up chocolate cookie crumbs and set aside. Shake vodkas, hazelnut liqueur, Crème de Cacao and cream over ice and pour into the martini glass. Dust top with more chocolate cookie crumbs!
