Serenity Cellars Opens New Tasting Room
Written by Kristin Hiller
Serenity Cellars, the producer of “Old World” wines in North Georgia Wine Country, opened its new Tuscan-inspired tasting room on May 25 in Cleveland, Ga. The tasting room is the realization of a 20-year dream and fuses wine, music and art for guests. At the grand opening event, guests enjoyed live music from The Cazanovas and Jeremiah Osterman as well as Italian food from Nacoochee Village Tavern & Pizzeria.
Joe Smith, the acclaimed winemaker for Serenity Cellars as well as Yonah Mountain Vineyards, has earned more gold medals at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition in the past two years than any other U.S. winemaker east of California. Taste his 2012 Traminette, the successor to the acclaimed 2009 Traminette, which was the only Georgia Wine to ever win the prestigious “Best in Class.” The tasting room is open Friday through Sunday. 706-348-1277, serenitycellars.com
