Meet the Polo Women’s Club
New kids on the block have something to get back in the groove with this year, thanks to the powerhouse of social butterflies at Polo Golf & Country Club in Cumming. Founded two years ago by then new resident Perrie Tucker, The Polo Women’s Club was a way to meet her neighbors, make new friends and potentially attract new members to the country club. She enlisted the help of fellow residents and the club’s food and beverage services to schedule monthly luncheons where women and their friends could gather to enjoy a great meal, meet other local ladies, hear great speakers and have the chance to get involved with local charities.
The lineup this year brings exciting visitors to the club, with the owner of The Cupbearer Coffee & Tea Outfitter, representatives from The Marcus E. and Sharon B. Gunter (MSG) Foundation who work to fight hunger in Cumming, local author Lauren Holly with her debut novel, among others. All year long, the ladies support a variety of charities, including MSG, Head Start, Feel Beautiful Today, Lily’s Run, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Abba House and more. Tickets are only $16, but an R.S.V.P. is required, so check the calendar via their Facebook page and reserve your spot at lunch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
