KL35 0170It’s a miracle! Fresh, affordable seafood is finally at our hungry fingertips. Having only opened about six weeks ago, Marietta’s Pier 213 is quickly becoming the top destination for North Atlanta seafood lovers, myself included. Located off of South Marietta Parkway just west of the Historic Marietta Square, this delightfully casual lunch and dinner restaurant provides quality seafood from the Gulf States (Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi). Family owned and operated, Pier 213 offers a warm and friendly environment. After being greeted with the smiles of a very happy staff, I was treated to more delicious seafood than I thought I would have in a lifetime. From clam chowder and gumbo to grilled oysters and crab dip, the minds behind Pier 213 know their stuff. The clam chowder is the perfect consistency and the gumbo has an excellent balance of flavor and kick. I can’t wait to pay them another visit. If I don’t return for the friendly staff, it will be for the crab cakes. I can’t recall ever having crab cakes this fresh. If the seafood doesn’t have you singing Pier 213’s praises, the melt-in-your-mouth sticky toffee pudding will. For guests with a tangy sweet tooth, homemade key lime pie is also an option. No matter what you order, the first bite you take will have you convinced the ocean is just outside. Stop by for lunch and enjoy the daily special or bring the family in for dinner. Either way, guests will enjoy high-quality seafood without the hassle of a reservation. Everyone loves a mini vacation, so take some time out of your week to visit Pier 213. You can thank us later!
