Oct. 11 | Get ready for a big-time yum. Hands down, 850 Bar Pizza is the best place to get real Napoli-style seafood and brick-oven pizza on the Northside. Celebrating seven months this fall, they serve up an ever-evolving menu of affordable, fresh and traditional dishes made with straight-from-Italy ingredients and a touch of Napoli love, thanks to the lovable and talented executive chef Stefano Rea. In fact, he’s due back this month from his bi-annual trip back to the homeland, meaning he’ll bring inspiration and ingredients for new menu items.

And whatever those new ideas bring to the menu, make sure to order the ever-present Angry Mussels to start, a brick-oven pie from the red list, like the Margherita D.O.C. and from the white list, like the Parma (with loads of cheese, piles of fresh arugula, fresh-cut prosciutto and an impossibility to resist another bite), and a cannoli to top it off. Wash it all down with a crafty selection of draft beers and maybe even a celebratory sip of the rare Rip Van Winkle whiskey they just got in stock.

Enjoy it all inside their rustic, old-world restaurant, or outside amidst cool misting fans and great music. We think, either way, you’ll be kissing your fingers to a meal well eaten.
